Attorney Jennifer F. Thompson is the co-founding, senior partner of Thompson, Bissett & Castonia, LLP., an all-female law firm founded in 1999. Jennifer’s primary focus is family law and criminal defense.

Jennifer recognizes that every type of legal matter can feel complicated and overwhelming. This is especially true when it involves families, or the threat of incarceration. Jennifer works vigilantly to ensure that her clients are well educated on the law and their legal rights. She provides zealous advocacy in the courtroom.

Before attending law school, Jennifer made a year long commitment to VISTA, (Volunteers in Service to America) a stateside component of the Peace Corps. Jennifer obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1993. She has worked as both a criminal prosecutor and as defense counsel. She held a Guardian ad Litem contract for the Honorable Thomas Gritton for over 25 years in which she represented the rights of children and incompetent adults. Jennifer also taught law at the University of Oshkosh.

Jennifer served as President of the Winnebago County Bar Associates in 2003. She presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Shelter. She is a graduate of Leadership Oshkosh. Jennifer was named one of the top 100 criminal defense attorneys by the National Association of Trial Lawyers in 2019.
